Community Mural Campaign
I Love Memphis!
UrbanArt has partnered with the Convention and Vistors Bureau and the City of Memphis to produce a series of small murals throughout the city around the theme: 'I Love Memphis'. The cost of basic materials are provided, but if your group wishes to provide additional funds, such support will enable your mural to be even more intricate in design.
If you are a business owner that would like to apply to have a mural on the side of your building, please contact Siphne Sylve (ssylve [at] urbanartcommission [dot] org) and send a jpeg photo of the wall you'd like painted.
Mural guidelines:
1. Walls must be in good condition and require no major repair.
2. Painted area will be an average of 12x24 sq.ft., but larger spaces will be considered on a case by case basis.
3. Each mural must contain the text 'I Love Memphis' or 'I ♥ Memphis', although the font can vary as the artist wishes. NOTE: All murals will be different from one another. Each design will be unique.
4. All murals will be coated with an anti-graffiti varnish for easy maintenance, but building owners are responsible for all ongoing upkeep.
5. All murals must be permitted to exist as-installed for 1 year minimum.
6. All building owners must enter into a Mural Agreement with UrbanArt that permits access to the wall.
Interested applicants can download a copy of the UrbanArt Mural Agreement via the link provided.
