Mediums: Anti-blight panels, Glass, Mosaics, Murals, Painting
I have been a public artist for 10 years, working mainly with the City of Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program. During that time I have developed a way of working that stresses community involvement and a style that favors narrative abstraction. Most of my projects have a basis in Euclidian geometry that ties simple mathematic principles with broad human experiences. With every project I attempt to invoke a mood that is appropriate to the space, even in spaces that people might not think of, like, underpasses or prisons.
My technical scope is: mural painting on parachute cloth, aluminum panels or the wall, stained glass mosaic applications, stained glass laminate, reverse glass painting, fine bead work for the public realm, mobile making, light carpentry and woodworking. I am proficient in Photoshop CS5.
I have worked on a number of very large projects, including “Our Heritage along the Waterway”, 9000 sq ft, Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, 5000 sq. ft. and Towey Playground, 5000 sq. ft.
