Ten Years of Public Art in Memphis
Interactions/Interruptions: 10 Years of Public Art in Memphis, was a multi-faceted public art exhibition that celebrated the UrbanArt Commission’s 10th Anniversary. It consisted of the following three key components:
10 Temporary Public Art Projects throughout the Memphis community, including:
- one large-scale temporary public art piece by nationally acclaimed artist, Dan Corson
- five temporary public art pieces by local artists Anthony Lee, Philip Lewis, Greely Myatt, Sanjit Sethi, and Tad Lauritzen Wright, and
- four temporary public art pieces by accomplished collegiate art students Catherine Blackwell, Dwayne Butcher, Chandler Pritchett and Delbert Sisk.

An exhibit at the Memphis College of Art featuring models, drawings and photographs of projects completed by the UAC over the past 10 years, was on view from January 2-30, 2008.
The creation and distribution of an educational podcast/ DVD to acquaint viewers with information about selected projects, the relevance of the locale of each artwork, and the history of the UAC and our mission will be provided for those interested in the coming months.
